The Center for Research on Aggression and Victimization (CRAV) is directed by Dr. Tim Cavell at the University of Arkansas. A primary focus of the lab is developing and evaluating interventions for school age children who have difficulty connecting to school or relating to peers and are at risk for later problems. Of particular interest are interventions involving parents, teachers, or mentors

Our current work emphasizes school-based mentoring for children who are highly aggressive, children who are bullied at school, or children who are aggressive victims of peer harassment. Other projects focus on school-based mentoring  for miltary students, involving parents in identifying informal or natural mentors for their children, and efforts to promote the use of research evidence by school counselors.
